In spite of the recent frost "Spring has Sprung" so to speak. There will be lots of garden and bedding plants to choose from this Saturday at the market. Among them Rhubarb, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, possibly tomato, chives, stevia, lavender and lots of flowers, including some beautiful hanging baskets.
Fresh grown greenhouse vegggies will also make an appearance. There will be onions, greens, sprouts, garlic, broccoli, radish, lettuce and possibly others not listed. We have local farm raised pork, lamb, rabbit, goat and chicken. Organic cheeses, eggs, sorghum, honey, jams, jellies, condiments and pickles.
We have local crafters with varied artistic abilities offering their wares for your purchase. Jewelry, fine crochet, sandblasted tiles and signs, kiln fired glass bottles made into cheese trays, handmade purses , flax filled neck cozies to soothe your aches and pains, pretty bandannas for your four legged buddy, hand painted feathers, 3 dimentional wooden art, primitives and lots more.
The Market is open ALL YEAR LONG on Saturdays till 1:00pm. Be sure to stop in and say hello. We always enjoy your visits.
So until then
Have a blessed day

About Our Market
Wednesday, March 14, 2012
We are a market of approximately 100 to 120 members. We are located at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Marietta, Ohio. Every thing sold here is Home Made, Home Grown or Hand made by a member. Our hours are 9:00am to 1:00pm starting the 1st Saturday in January through the last Saturday in March and 8:00am to 1:00pm the 1st Saturday in April through the last Saturday in December.
We have many events through out the year that we try to schedule around the seasons and available produce. We started off this season with a Health Fair in early February. With the Lower Salem Vol. Fire Department doing free blood pressure and glucose readings.
We'll have our annual Customer Appreciation Breakfast on May 12th. This is always big with sausage, eggs, potatoes, biscuits, jams and jellies, all from the market members. In June we will have our Strawberry Fiesta, with strawberry salads, pizzas, cheesecakes, shortcakes and anything else you can make with strawberries. July 7th we'll once again be doing free hot dogs for our customers. This was a real hit last year. I'll post more as the season progresses. I just wanted to whet your appetite a little today.
If you have never attended our market you may be well pleased at all we have to offer. Please come by and check us out. Offerings to be found here are eggs, poultry, pork, lamb, rabbit, cheese, syrup, honey, awesome pies, wonderful breads, bagels, rolls and a plethora of other baked goods, organic teas, herbs, sprouts, in season produce, plants, flowers, Jams, sauces and condiments, soup and bread mixes. We have soaps, salves, body lotions and candles. Eco friendly cleaning products, homespun yarns. Numerous crafts: crochet items, microwavable neck cozies, corn hole bags, pet items, Hand bags, beautiful greeting cards, jewelry, hand painted items, painted feather art, three dimensional wood art, primitives, iron works and wood crafts, pottery, and much more.

Sorry I've not done a very good job of keeping the blog up to date. I will be working on that a lot in the future.
First of all you must check out our facebook page. New banners showing displays from the market are always being refreshed.
We are implementing new events this year. Please let us know if you enjoy them so we can arrange to repeat them in later years.
We have add some new craft vendors with handmade brooms, wall and mantel clocks, wooden lamps and houses, very nicely done. Some new primitives and appliqued jackets and shirts. I personally have added copper wind chimes to my fare. From the woods bird feed and feeders, to name a few. We also have a new cheese person and breads from a wood fired oven. If you haven't stopped by for a while please stop in and say hello. we always enjoy your visits.
Remember we are open every Saturday till 1:00pm. all year long.
Till then happy days.
