Hello everyone!
March came in like a lion and is going out like a lamb, as the saying goes. The sunshine is wonderful and our herb garden is already producing fresh, spring leaves.
Thank you all for stopping by to see us at the River City Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. We appreciate just being able to say good morning to you!
Don't forget to get your FREE teabag when you stop by. We believe once you try our Tea and Home Made Herbal Teas, you will come back for more. This weekends FREE tea selections will be Herbal Lemon Mint and Herbal Citrus Chamomile.
A short note regarding terminology in the "Tea" world. Herbal Tea is also known as a Tisane. An Herbal Tea, or Tisane, does not contain the leaves from the traditional "Tea" plant, Camellia Sinensis. We all recognize Camellia Sinensis as Black, Green or White tea.
We have now started selling all of our Tea and Herbal Teas in bulk! The loose leaf Herbal Tea blends are packaged by the ounce, as well as the Black, Green and White tea. You can choose your own strength of tea when you brew it using more or less of the Tea or Herbal Tea.

"HOW TO BREW"
When it comes to brewing your Tea or Tisane, there are a few important guidelines to follow in order to obtain the best results (a great cup of tea!)
1.) Start with cold, fresh water. Filtered, Spring or Distilled water are preferable but not necessary.
2.) Preheat your teapot or teacup by filling it with hot tap water and letting it sit while you heat your tea water.
3.) Use one tea bag or one teaspoon of loose tea per 8 ounces of water.
4.) Bring the water for your tea to a rolling boil. Turn off the heat. Empty the tap water from your teapot or teacup.
5.) Place teabag or loose tea in your teapot or teacup.
6.) Pour HOT water that was boiled OVER the teabag or loose tea. Cooling of the water, or lukewarm water results in a weak brew.
7.) Steep for a full 4-5 minutes in order to obtain full flavor. Because our teas and tisanes are generously portioned per bag, bags can be reused 2-3 times without loss of flavor. The loose tea or herbal tea can be reused as well.
8.) ENJOY! Some traditional additions to your cup can be lemon, cream, honey or sugar, and combinations thereof. It's what you like that counts!
Mention this "How to Brew" section at our booth in the River City Farmers Market, and we will give you TWO free tea bags!
I think I hear my teapot whistling:)
Hope to see you all Saturday!
