Friday, June 22, 2012

Well here it is Friday night again. Where does the time go? Are you planning to stop by the market in the morning? Jan Pickering will be there for our entertainment.

Lots of veggies are now appearing for your pleasure. Tomorrow you may find freshly dug new potatoes, both red and white, beets, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, zucchini, yellow squash, sweet corn, kohlrabi, fresh greens, sprouts, cucumbers,  onions. berries and possibly still some rhubarb. The list continues to grow. I personally am looking forward to the arrival of the first tomatoes of the summer. They shouldn't be to far off now.

As always we'll have fresh eggs, organic cheeses, honey, syrups, condiments and jams, pork, rabbit, lamb, goat and chicken.

Our Bread Man is back. Look for him outside, along with Star of India Foods to eat here or take with.  I personally recommend the Gobi Nan ...Nan bread stuffed with spiced cauliflower.

Don't forget about the fresh cut flowers and all the wonderful crafts to be found inside the building. This time of year the air is filled with the scent of fresh made soaps. I hear the poison ivy soap is plentiful right now, best stop by and pick up some if your are going to be pulling any of those pesky weeds.

Stop by and enjoy your morning with your friends and neighbors. We are always happy to see you.
